A new day with more questions!I really wish I was around during the WAHM days to see posts like this for myself.

Since the chat was released, I do believe it is easy to determine the circle of “friends”

Here is a screencap that was sent to me from a member of wahm when it was indeed open.  I want to point out a few things, because I am the one who feels that dealbarbie pays is the one site that did allow duplicate accounts for one member.  I’ll get into most of that later, but really would like to start with where that thought even began.  This screenshot shows an owner who was trying to get into the fraud forum and was beaten down by another owner, Sparestash.

Did this owner repeat offers and in fact should not be allowed in?  She admitted to duplicating one offer, but also admitted that other site owners were duplicating as well.  She also admitted that she was told if it was in a 6 months span, it was okay to duplicate the offer.

Sparestash said it all:

“Other site owners might have repeated offers, but YOU GOT CAUGHT!”

I may not have thought about this much, nor would it have stood out to me had Sparestash not been accused of rigging her own contest. I have to go with my gut feeling here and say that Sparestash was right.  Other owners were doing it, just had not been caught.  My cashout on her site before she closed was small compared to some, but it meant just as much to me as it would have to anyone else.  I would love to talk  to the people who really figured her out and exactly how they did it, maybe it will help me to prove that dealbarbie also allowed cheating to happen while she hid behind her throne!  Anyone who is willing to give that information to me can catch me on AIM at yolondabfl I have never had an account with AIM so forgive me if it takes a while to figure out exactly how to use it!

SpareStash

She tucked her tail between her legs and kissed her ass goodbye!  Why?  Because she was caught rigging her contest.  How was this happening?  Well, story goes that she got caught by a few members who then turned the information over to Seraph.  Do I believe this?  Yes I do.

I spent the better part of the early morning talking with a site owner about exactly how it is an owner can fake her own stats.  It was explained to me clearly.

Basically Sparestash would have had to sign up herself with a new username.  She would not even have to click on the offers to complete, she could just go in as that newly created person, and submit tons upon tons of offers.  She logs out then goes into her Administration Panel through her site and approves the offers.  WTH?  Why would anyone do that? I guess for the same reason Angela did and that would be to fake the stats so that she didn’t have to pay out the highest amount she was offering.  I can’t help but wonder exactly how many site owners were doing this.    Another thing I can’t help but wonder is why one of the site owners in the chat told this newer owner exactly how this happened.  Makes me wonder more about them now.  My advice is, if you are working a contest with any of these owners in this chat, pay close attention to the usernames and the stats.  Smarter than that, go look through all the contests, and see if  any of the positions that won are gone, as if they had been deleted.  Take screenshots!

I am hearing it also works the same as referral contests.  So if you go back through the referral contests on sites, and you placed 2nd and missed the big prize, take a screenshot, then start googling the username that won.  If you are not finding anything, then there is more than likely a problem.

Bringing together posts on the web

So, because I have heard time and time again about how site owners allow their members to not only duplicate offers under different usernames, but they also delete the offers, teach them how to change their ip addresses to throw off affiliatesa, and on and on and on, I have pulled together a few screenshots that have been sent to me over the last year to help my readers see why more and more, I believe exactly what these posts say.  Now, some may say oh, well I found out later.  I say bullshit. It is always the same group of people involved.

paycage on wahm

Just in case you didn’t read that last part clearly, I have cut it out for you.

paycage.

A VERY POPULAR SITE UH?

6 ACCOUNTS?  RESETTING IP WITH A LAPTOP?

Yes, I understand that because of what Paycage did, she has no credibility now.  What about back then when everyone respected her as an owner?  This didn’t sneak up since she left her site, this was  a few years ago.  Now, unless someone wants to show me that she was not apart of the group then, and her credibility was bad then…well, I am going to trust what she was saying.

But then, let me go back to that chat and give this out:

paycage(removed email) (1:11:41 PM): I know I deleted at least one of her accounts…but just “cheatered” the others :)

This gets pretty interesting because she is not screaming that some moron signed up for her site multiple times.  She is in a joking manner saying she “cheatered” the other accounts.  So why would she delete one account and do this with the “others”  It is because she allowed someone to have duplicate accounts on her site, that is why. As you can see from the chat, she was still just as much part of the group as way back then.

She already knew of a Popular owner who allowed someone 6 accounts, and it was taught to her.  Want more reasons to believe what I am saying?

jrsygirl

Just in case, I cut that section out and highlighted what I think is important.

newpost sparetkel

So now you have yet another site owner who claims that there were members in that forum who cheat, yet nothing is done about it.  Then SpareStash (yeah the one who was caught) says “they might cheat, but you got caught”

But then, it goes a bit deeper…

bnorrisontiff

Bnorris herself here says that this girl had 3 accounts.  The kelsey girl admitted to duplicating offers, but was pretty much hounded by the gang that it was all her fault.  One thing that stands out to me is how kelsey did say that she made these people alot of money, and thought they were her friends.

The question still remains.  Did this group of site owners work each other’s sites and make loads, then when they made enough to start their own sites, did they all return the favor?  And who is the “Popular” site owner that allowed 6 accounts for one person?  And why was that not mentioned to the point that someone thought it would be smart to screencap it?  Why is it when there is mention of fraud, these are the ones who scream the loudest?  There is a reason….more to come

Seraph’s excuses…..

This post was listed on January 05, 2008 on www.wahmvoice.com

As many of our readers know, that post has been removed along with all the other posts that relate to the people in the chat.  This is the big ANNOUNCEMENT  That Seraph posted about on GPT boycott concerning the Chat!  A huge thank you to the one who sent this to me tonight!  Comments are always open!

Hi guys, this is your WAHMVoice admin…of course.

You may also not know, but I am also called Seraph. I also run www.gptreview.net, and of course I run this lovely forum. I also usually have the username of GreenleafElf17.

Recently, a chat has surfaced….well…more like RE-surfaced, regarding a conversation I and several GPT owners had amongst ourselves. It’s been touted as a “scandal”, a “conspiracy”, and more. What’s the story behind it? Well, here I am, shaking all of these rugs out into the light. Please be forewarned…there’s a lot of dust on them.

This started back when Putter Palace was still around, and when Myssi from BackAtchaBucks was still the half owner in it. As you all may know, Myssi suddenly up and left the site. What many people do not know is why.

Eliesha, the other partner, was not helping Myssi out. When Myssi asked for assistance, she was told “I paid for half the site because I expected to not have to do the work. You do it, and I’ll sit and collect my half.” Pardon me, but I do believe that isn’t how partnerships work. Well, Myssi understandably then explained she needed to work more on her other site, and to spend more time with her family. Apparently, Eliesha was not happy with that. Which is…an understatement. At this point…she did some stuff that unfortunately, I can’t fully explain here due to legal constraints at this current time.

Anyways, so then of course I, oblivious to this, then make the sorry mistake of questioning Eliesha. I had no idea this has transpired, and as you can read in my article on GPTReview…I was quickly banned and stonewalled from speaking to Eliesha regarding the matter.

Well, soon Eliesha started banning all sorts of members. On top of that, another friend of hers started attacking Myssi some more…causing even more stress and problems. One day, a bunch of the people who were upset with the entire issue got together for what was basically, a “Stitch and *itch” get-together. Yes…basically it was a “Whine about what’s happened recently” thing, lol. I feel kinda silly thinking back on it, but seriously we needed the vent time. It was pretty frustrating to be dealing with all of that.

–post continued below–

Anyways, so of course we started chatting, and poor Myssi was in a SERIOUS funk. So what do I do? I start acting silly to cheer her up. I make silly jokes about going to track down Eliesha to teach her a lesson…trying to make her feel better. (You can see that in the chat, which I will provide a link to for you to download and see for yourself.)

Several comments were made to the like…and I think the one that I contributed that has stirred up the MOST controversy was my joke about “killing with fire”. Now…this is literally a joke I quite constantly say. Most commonly I say it about the bugs in my house…or about a meal I’ve just cooked…but it was all lighthearted. I would NEVER intend to actually set someone on fire in real life. That joke actually started in one of my video games, where my character could control flames. My constant yell against anything that remotely looked askance at me was “Kill it with fire!” Eventually it became second nature for me to say that joke about ANYTHING remotely annoying or frustrating to me.

Aaaaanyways….sorry for the derail there…There was QUITE a bit of venting and frustrating yelling in the chat. There’s no two ways about that. But please, sit back and realize what had just transpired with us. We had been denied hard-earned money, threatened, seen libelous comments made…all sorts of stuff. It was truly intended to be a conversation with us venting our frustrations.

However…we all soon were to find another knife in our backs.

A few days after the chat, I was approached by some of the members of SpareStash. They presented me with a mountain of evidence they had been collecting that showed Angela rigging her own contests. Shocked…I will be honest here…I was at first disinclined to believe it. Sadly though, when I checked, I noticed that the winners of a couple of contest had usernames that matched up with the screen-name Angela used privately on Yahoo.

So…I confronted Angela about it. I told her what was given to me, and that I was deeply saddened by it. I said that I dearly hoped she had evidence to prove this otherwise…or else I would have to go public with the information.

The resulting outburst was quite interesting.

Angela told several others that she was furious with this, and said that she would make sure I “regretted ever messing with her”. Eeps. Several days after I told her I knew what she was doing, she announced the closing of her site. A day after THAT….the chat log of our vent session suddenly appeared on WAHM.com. Interestingly enough…Angela’s comments had been removed, and many things had been edited so that it would look worse.

Soon after that, the WAHM forums shut down. But things did not stop there. Angela and Eliesha suddenly appeared to be completely in alliance…and started posting the chat anywhere and everywhere they could. Interestingly, they made sure to post it in places where they would not be recognized…using brand new accounts that were not associated with their names. They created new accounts over and over, bumping and supporting their threads.

Thankfully, at one point the whole furor died down….once Angela became swamped with emails from her unpaid members.

Now…currently…the thread has recently resurfaced in a forum that is run by a good friend of Angela’s. I will warn you, the chat there is STILL edited, and given a nice spin, of course.

To expose this whole thing into the light…here is a link to the original chat. You can download the .zip file, which has the original log, plus the XML files generated as timestamps.

Copy and paste this link, or just click to download: http://www.wahmvoice.com/the_chat.zip

Please be forewarned though…the chat contains some very explicit language. (None of it used by me, though. )

I will be locking this thread for now…if you wish to discuss it, please feel free to create your own thread. I am also, of course, available to speak via PM or email.

I do sincerely apologize for my actions…I never meant for my jokes to be taken as sincere threats. I’m only human. I said those things in a time of stress, and in an attempt to cheer up someone who is very dear to me.

Sincerely,

Seraph

Why did Barbie Sell?

Why did Barbie Sell?

I know, I know, to some this may not matter.  Many members and readers here are still trying to figure the whole thing out.  Barbie, who was at the most part the lead of the industry up and left.

http://www.gptboycott.com/forum/showpost.php?p=110031&postcount=1

And for those who would prefer read it here:

How to sell a site properly

There have been several posts about this over the last few days. There has recently been a major issue with sites changing hands on a constant basis with little or no notice. My best suggestion to all is not to sell sites period. It becomes confusing for members. It can also leave members as well as owners in a lurch if the full amount owed on a site has not been disclosed to the new owner. Not to mention the privacy issue.

So lets first cover what NOT to do-
-Sell the site with little or no notice.
-Change the DNS or domain in a short amount of time, as their 48-72 hour time frame can be inaccurate & does not allow members that amount of time needed.
-Transfer private members information to a new owner immediately (if at all).
-Identification & Tax documents as well as telephone numbers should never be given to a new owner. It is up to the member if they feel that the new owner should have this information & to provide them with it after the sale. (For the record I didn’t do this)

There are some variations in the recent conversations so here’s what we have so far (I will update as more info is discussed)

Option 1- Site tranfer with members accounts
-Give at least a 2 week notice to all members.
Or if your site has an activity requirement ie- login every 30 days give a 30 day notice.
This means via inbox, news page, email, forum posts, posting on the main page of the site, & the registration page that a sale is going to take place & that members that wish to be paid & have their accounts removed may do so.
-Lower the minimum payout so all members can be paid before the site is transferred.
-Refund the remaing advertising.

Option 2- Site transfer with no members accounts
-Give at least a 2 week notice to all members.
Or if your site has an activity requirement ie- login every 30 days give a 30 day notice.
This means via inbox, news page, email, forum posts, posting on the main page of the site, & the registration page that a sale is going to take place & that members that wish to be paid & have their accounts removed may do so.
-Lower the minimum payout so all members can be paid before the site is transferred.
-Refund the remaing advertising.
-Remove all members & their information before the site is transferred.

Closing a site-
-Give at least a 2 week notice to all members.
Or if your site has an activity requirement ie- login every 30 days give a 30 day notice.
This means via inbox, news page, email, forum posts, posting on the main page of the site, & the registration page that a sale is going to take place & that members that wish to be paid & have their accounts removed may do so.
-Lower the minimum payout so all members can be paid before the site is closed.
-Refund the remaing advertising.

Other suggestions-
Entering additional information in your Privacy Terms of Service area.

Such as-
*** will never be sold to a new owner. If *** were ever to close a 30 day notice would be sent out via email (to subscribed members), an inbox message, a forum post, as well as being posted on the main page of the site. All outstanding ads will be refunded for the amount remaining. The minimum cashout amount would be lowered to .01 (1 cent) so all members may request their full account balance for payment.

Or-
To protect your privacy if this site is ever sold, a notice would be sent out via email (to subscribed members), an inbox message, a forum post, as well as being posted on the main page of the site (X amount of time) prior to the sale. All outstanding ads will be refunded for the amount remaining. The minimum cashout amount would be lowered to .01 (1 cent) so all members may request their full account balance for payment.
Additionally, your information will not be moved with the site so your information will remain with the original owner at all times.

Or-
To protect your privacy if this site is ever sold, a notice would be sent out via email (to subscribed members), an inbox message, a forum post, as well as being posted on the main page of the site (X amount of time) prior to the sale so those wishing to opt out may do so prior to the information being transfered to the new owner. All outstanding ads will be refunded for the amount remaining. The minimum cashout amount would be lowered to .01 (1 cent) so all members may request their full account balance for payment.

**In addition, you may want to list the specific information that would be transfered to a new owner if a sale were to take place, as well as what would happen to members balances, upgrades, & advertising. The more information the better!

And even more ironic:
Re: How to sell a site properly

Here’s what I have-Privacy Policy – Ownership
DealBarbiePays will never be sold to a new owner. If DealBarbiePays were ever to close a 30 day notice would be sent out via email (to subscribed members), an inbox message, a forum post, as well as being posted on the main page of the site. All outstanding ads will be refunded for the amount remaining. The minimum cashout amount would be lowered to .01 (1 cent) so all members may request their full account balance for payment. However, the $5 signup bonus may only be cashed out in withdrawals of $20 or more.

As when I give the $5 signup bonus it is to be used towards their first $20 cashout.
So I’m not sure if the way I worded it is clear enough or not?
I mean lets say they have $6.50 in their account, $5 of which is the signup bonus. They would then be able to either cash out the $1.50 (with the min. lowered) or reach $20 & cashout the full amount.

Just something to ponder since it all happened so very fast!

Ex owner speaks out!

Ex owner speaks out!

After almost 6 months of trying to contact this owner,  she finally responds.   I first would like to apologize to her for doing everything in my power to contact her.  I really never expected for anyone to feel violated by a few questions that have been on my mind for some time.   I am sorry again Jennifer, and since you did say you could care less, I am going to post your email.  Please let me know if you feel I need to bring it down.

Ms. Bond,

I don’t mind answering your questions if you will do me a favor.  Please tell your friends or whomever to quit trying to become my friends through myspace.  I have no respect for anyone who continues to pester me about anything with gpt sites.  I have long since removed myself from the headache of that industry and the backstabbing of so many people.  This will be my one and only email to you and there is no need to attempt to contact me again.

Yes, I banned all site owners before I closed.  Everyone was paid what they were due, I even lowered my payout for all site owners no matter what they were owed.  The reason I banned them were due to advice from my affiliate managers plus the forum in which was intended to crack down on fraud only to become a place where innocent members and innocent site owners were accused of fraud.  I had a huge problem with this in the end because many of the site owners who were listed on the forum were not only on my site as members, but none of these owners running the board ever said they were fraud until one of them got mad at another owner.  My whole point, and I made this very clear to at least one site owner that if they were these huge cheaters, they should have first been placed on the board, and second should have never been allowed to join the board.  Someone had something to hide, I felt that way, and because of it, I wanted nothing else to do with any of them.  Yes, my site suffered and I lost out big time because I put what I felt was right above and beyond what was being done in that forum.  I was ridiculed and made like I was a scam because of my decisions.  To this day, I am prouder for myself for sticking up for my beliefs than sticking around in that type of business.  Did I do wrong?  Yes I did, I allowed Melissa and her friend Sandmike to create another account under a proxy.  They showed me how it worked and they got paid for what they did. I have not, and will never blame anyone else for what I allowed them to do but myself.  I was wrong.  After the huge fight that was in that chat, I got called out too.  The difference between myself and the others was that at least I had the gall to go into my own forum and apologize for what I did wrong.  I admitted my faults and after all my payments were made, I closed BOTH of my sites and have moved on to bigger and brighter things in my life.  I have no ill feelings towards these site owners, sometimes when money is all that matters, the morals go down the drain.  If they choose to live their lives that way, that is them, I chose not to and have no regrets.

I read your blog in full last night and couldn’t help but feel bad for these ladies.  I know exactly how they are feeling now, and it does NOT feel good!  I do pray that these ladies always think back to how they are feeling now and remember it the next time they decide to pick on someone else.  Too many good people get ridiculed just because!

Tiffany!  I really miss Tiffany.  Bless her heart, I see that people are still on her.  Please tell her I am sorry for doing this, but the treatment she got was unfair.  During the time I was an owner, I always wanted to stand up for her, but out of fear for my own site, I didn’t.  I have nothing to loose now as my work is totally outside of my own and could really care less if I am believed or not.  Tiffany was a good person.  Bnorris give that poor girl so much hell that she would be so upset.  If tears could be seen through the screen, hers were pouring.  Bnorris did allow her to cheat.  She made Bnorris money and then turned on her.  Bnorris does not deserve Tiffany’s friendship, even though nothing in this world would make me think that Bnorris has done anything to make up to her all she put her through.  I would hate for Bnorris to loose her business over all of this because I can remember that she too has children, yet I do hope that she realizes that Tiffany has children too.  Everything she did, she did for her children.  She was young and only did what Bnorris allowed her to do.  When Bnorris thinks of her family, I also hope she thinks of Tiffany’s family and how they lost out because she chose to let this happen to Tiffany and turned her back instead of telling the truth.
I really hope that Tiffany is seen for the person she really is, and the real truth comes out so that she if she chooses can come back to the business to provide for Kelsey and Lexi.(yes I remember their names Tiff, and I miss you terribly)
Please tell Tiffany that whenever I can, I am going to contact her.  I work on the road now in Insurance and am not around much for time on the computer.

I don’t know if anything I have said can or will help your purpose, I don’t care if you share my email, I just please ask that you now leave me alone.
Thank you
Jennifer

Posting Emails
 http://yolondab.wordpress.com/2009/08/03…

I wanted to let you all know that I am willing to post any of your emails where concerns the matters in this blog.  If you would like your email posted, then please make sure to let me know that in your email to me.  This is open to site owners as well as members of sites.

The reason I posted the BeachBums email was because of my reason to feel that danasurvey has been allowed mulitple accounts on dealbarbie’s sites.  Jennifer did not answer that question for me as to why she deleted danasurvey which was posted on gptboycott many months ago.  She did say why she deleted site owners and I assume that is what danasurvey was upset about.  I don’t know how true her answers are and will not tell anyone to agree or disagree with her email.  It is important that each person who reads forms their own opinions.

I will not say that I agree with why the owners were deleted, but would like to hear others opinions on what went on in those forums back then.  Anyone who would like to share that information is welcomed to email me.  I will keep your name, site name, and email address private.

Many have emailed me to ask what the results of the “other” feelings about the site owner chat, I have listed that information below.

I will be in and out for the rest of the afternoon while I work on a few other things.

What are your thoughts on the site owner chat?

0%  I dont Care

12% They were just having a bit of fun

69% They shared private information breaking their TOS

19% other:

Criminal Charges Should Have Been Filed!

They were rude and crude and I was embarrassed for everyone who read it.

they were foul mouthed bitches

And are idiots to boot

Scamming the advertisers as well as the members
